ODG Navigator Toolbar Enhances User Experience
Encinitas, CA -
Work Loss Data Institute (WLDI) is pleased to announce release of the new
Navigator Toolbar for the Web version of ODG.
The ODG Navigator will provide a consistent headline across the top of each
web page, allowing the end-user to seamlessly navigate through the ODG
Return-to-Work and Treatment Guidelines using various standard ODG menus
like ICD9, ICD10, CPT Code, and Keyword Index, plus free-text Search. New
drop down menus include the ODG Toolbox, with direct access to the UR
Advisor, Drug Formulary, NDC Advisor, Comorbidity Calculator and RTW
Prescription, and the Procedure Index, which provides links to the Procedure
Summaries from each chapter in ODG Treatment covering every body part region
(Knee, Low Back, Shoulder, etc.) plus Burns, Chronic Pain, Diabetes, Fitness
for Duty, Hernia, Infectious Diseases, Mental and Pulmonary. Finishing off
the destination suite are links to the Contents Page, long viewed as “home
base” by ODG users, plus the Help tab, which opens the User’s Guide and
toll-free ODG Helpdesk.
“We set out to accomplish two things with the Navigator”, said Phil LeFevre,
Director of Strategy for Work Loss Data Institute. “First, we had to improve
the user experience. As we add evidence-based guideline content and decision
support tools to improve medical management and return-to-work, we need to
stay cognizant of the burden more navigational clicks can cause. From now
on, there will be no hitting the back button in frustration; no more glazed
eyes. Second, we wanted to merge the new toolbar into ODG with as little
disruption as possible. Some of you may not even notice it’s there. You’ll
just finish up your work early, with a smile on your face.”
The ODG Navigator is available immediately with the 2013 release of
Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) on the Web. To activate the
Navigator, users will simply need to open a new browser window and log in
from the start page,
www.odg-twc.com (or odgtreatment.com). Web Integration clients (clients
and partners that link from their own software into ODG by diagnosis or
procedure code) will find a new methodology for passing the codes into the
ODG site to enable the Navigator as part of the 2013 ODG Data Integration
Instructions. Any questions can be directed to Account Executives or the ODG
Helpdesk (ODG@worklossdata.com).
