NEW TRAINING TOOL JUST RELEASED FOR OFFICIAL DISABILITY GUIDELINES (ODG)
Encinitas, CA – Work Loss Data Institute (WLDI)
announces a new, free training tool available to subscribers of ODG and the
general public at large: ODG: Good to Go!
ODG: Good to Go! is essentially a virtual
simulation of a live ODG training demo provided by the Work Loss Data
Institute’s Account Executives and Product Consultants. With recent
adoption of the ODG guidelines in various jurisdictions across the country
and internationally, there has been increased demand for the short
instructional, particularly among health care providers new to the
guidelines. The 45-minute demo is available at no charge on the Web to both
subscribers of ODG and non-subscribers alike.
ODG: Good to Go! can run consecutively from
start to finish or users can jump around and tackle the demo in pieces using
the Table of Contents page, which breaks the training session into 12
distinct sections. The most significant features in the Official Disability
Guidelines product line are the ODG Procedure Summaries, Return-to-Work
Guidelines, and the ODG Treatment UR Advisor, so each is discussed in
detail, along with review of the Treatment Planning and Codes for Automated
Approval sections, Workers’ Comp Cost Tables, Medical Literature Ratings,
Activity Modifications, Length of Disability data, Hospital Length of Stay,
and more. All of the various search and navigation techniques are also
covered in a succinct, orderly and coordinated fashion.
Phil LeFevre, a Senior
Account Executive for the Work Loss Data Institute, presents narration and
tutorial for the new program. Mr. LeFevre explains, “Following widespread
adoption of the ODG product line, most recently in Texas, Kansas and
Tennessee, one challenge has been provider education. This new tool will
help tremendously in that regard.”
ODG: Good to Go! is
among many support options available to users of ODG. Live ODG demos are
also provided by WLDI upon request, and a toll-free ODG Helpdesk is staffed
from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. In addition, specialized ODG training courses are
offered for CE and CME credit from third party organizations such as the
American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians and the Texas Medical
Association.
