Ken Eichler joins Work Loss Data Institute and ODG

Encinitas, CA, Nov. 12, 2013 – Work Loss Data Institute (WLDI) today announced the addition of Kenneth Eichler, formerly of The Reed Group, to the ODG Team Roster, as Director, Regulatory and Outcome Initiatives. According to Phil Denniston, President & CEO of WLDI, “I have always been impressed with Ken, and we are honored to have him join our team. His background and experience, as well as the respect he commands, and strong relationships he has formed among regulators and carriers alike, make him well suited for this position.” Denniston continued, “As Vice Chair of the Medical Issues and Disability Management/Return to Work Committee for IAIABC, and through his position as a Director of the New York Claims Association, along with several other affiliations, Ken has developed a vast knowledge and keen understanding of issues facing workers’ comp and disability management stakeholder populations regionally and nationally.”

As Eichler explained, “After several years of watching ODG’s successes and innovative approach that included flexibility, agility and responsiveness to the market, I realized that WLDI/ODG is where I needed and wanted to be, for myself and for my clients.” Eichler elaborated, “The introduction of new products, such as the ODG Drug Formulary, has been impressive and compelling. And, the most recent announcement of the ODG Reserve Calculator tying medical cost predictions with disability durations to provide a total tool for setting reserves was the final motivating factor in my decision.”

“We are pleased and proud that Ken Eichler has decided to join forces with ODG,” added Phil LeFevre, Director of Business Development. “After years of working beside him, even as a competitor, we’ve known him to be a man of ethics and conviction. The fact that he has decided that ODG best serves his clients and colleagues speaks volumes as an endorsement for both ODG and WLDI’s philosophy that evidence-based medicine doesn’t vary from state to state.” LeFevre added, “Ken understands all the variables unique to each state’s workers’ compensation system, and has come to recognize ODG as the one constant that can universally serve them all.”

WLDI is an independent medical database development company, based in Encinitas, California, founded in 1995. The ODG product line leverages evidence-based clinical criteria into actionable medical management intelligence to support optimal claim outcomes.
